Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about FX GrowLog.
Where is my trade data stored?
Only on your device. FX GrowLog has no account and no server, and your trade data is never sent to us. Ads in the free plan (Google AdMob) and subscriptions (RevenueCat) are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
On your current phone, open Settings → Backup & Restore → Create Backup and save the .fxnote file somewhere you can reach from the new phone (for example Files, iCloud Drive or Google Drive). On the new phone, install FX GrowLog, open Settings → Backup & Restore → Restore Backup and choose the file. The backup includes your trades, tags, settings and chart images. Restoring replaces all data on that phone.
Isn't my phone's own backup enough?
Not always. iCloud Backup or Google backup can include FX GrowLog's database when backup is turned on and there is enough storage, but this depends on your device settings. On Android, chart images are not included in Google's automatic backup because of its size limit. Create a .fxnote backup regularly to be safe.
Are backup and CSV files encrypted?
No. Treat them like any other personal document: keep them where only you can access them and be careful who you share them with.
My broker's lot is not 100,000 units. How do I set it?
Open Settings → Units per lot and choose the size used by your account (for example 10,000 or 1,000). If one pair is different, open Settings → Currency Pairs and tap the pair. Gold (XAU) and silver (XAG) use 100 and 5,000 units by default. Changing the setting does not recalculate trades you have already saved.
Can I type prices with a decimal comma?
Yes. Both 1.0850 and 1,0850 are accepted, so you can use the decimal separator you are used to.
What does Premium include?
- No ads
- Unlimited images per trade (Free: 3)
- 6M & All-time analytics (Free: up to 3M)
- Failure pattern details
- CSV export
- Unlimited custom tags (Free: 10)
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play. Open Settings → Premium and tap Manage subscription, or cancel in your store account's subscription settings. After reinstalling or changing phones, tap Restore Purchases on the same screen while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account. Premium belongs to that account, not to the backup file.
